Raipur-based steel wire rod manufacturers lowered their offers sharply by INR 1,300/t d-o-d to INR 52,700/t exw today due to weak buying enquiries at higher prices. Despite the sharp fall in prices, trade discounts via suppliers were still high at over INR 1,000/t. In Durgapur, wire rod prices were at INR 52,800-53,000/t exw.
