Iron ore (including pellets) imports into Japan dropped by 6% m-o-m to 8.31 mnt in Jan’24 as against 8.87 mnt in Dec’23, according to customs data. Australia was the largest exporter at 4.31 mnt followed by Brazil (2.43 mnt). Meanwhile, imports fell by 13% y-o-y compared to 9.57 mnt in Jan’23.
