Australian coking coal price retreats further on weak demand
Australian premium hard coking coal (PHCC) price continued its downtrend on limited buying interest despite ample supply availability – PHCC FoB price fell by $4/t d-o-d to 104.75/t. While Chinese steelmakers stayed on the sidelines awaiting clarity on port restrictions, ex-Chinese steelmakers showed no urgency to book cargoes in hopes that offers could fall further.
