Japan: Stainless steel imports rise marginally m-o-m in May

Japan’s stainless steel (SS) imports in May’22 stood at 25,137 t, up 3.35% compared to 24,322 t in April’22, customs data reveals. Imports of finished flats were at 22,944 t and those of finished longs were at 2,193 t in May. Cumulative exports in January-May’22 were recorded at 127,760 t.
