China: Coking coal, met coke futures jump on supply tightness
Coking coal and metallurgical coke shortage in China has intensified following stringent environmental and safety regulations imposed on major coal-producing provinces Shandong, Jiangsu and Shanxi. Consequently, futures prices on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) increased further, with coking coal and met coke up 6% and 4%, respectively, in today’s morning trading session, as per reports.
