SteelMint’s domestic steel scrap index declined by INR 500/t today (23 Nov’20). The index for melting scrap (end cutting) is assessed at INR 28,500/t DAP Mandi Gobindgarh basis. Steel scrap index fell owing to demand-supply mismatch. On one side, availability of imported scrap with mid-sized mills in Punjab has improved on easing railway movement concerns.…
