Melting scrap prices remained under pressure following inadequate semi-finished transactions in most of the regions along with downward correction in sponge-iron prices by around INR 300/t, amid adequate availability of scrap. Near-term prices are expected to remain range bound without any major contraction, trade associates reported to SteelMint
