Imported
ferrous scrap prices to Turkey rise as the buying activities improved from
Turks. Offers for ferrous scrap moved up by US$ 5-15/MT from last week. Turkish
steel manufacturers started procuring material ahead of winter. It has lent
support to exporters to raise their offers.
Turkish import scrap prices soared this week.
Around ten deep-sea cargoes have been sold to buyers in Turkey over the past
week, with European prices for the base grade of HMS 1&2 (80:20) at
$436-448/MT CFR depending on origin.
