Rashmi Group to set up beneficiation & pellet plant in Odisha & M.P

Rashmi Group, which manufactures
steel, sponge iron, pig iron, TMT, cement and ductile iron pipes, has lined up
Rs 1000 crore worth of investment in Odisha and Madhya Pradesh.

While it has firmed up plans of
establishing an iron ore beneficiation plant along with a pellet plant in
Odisha, the group will also set up a ferro alloy and power plant in Madhya
Pradesh.

The company is also investing Rs
130 crore in setting up a ferro alloy plant in Jhargram, West Bengal and
another 18 MW power plant, which is already under implementation. 

Speaking about the plans, R C
Behera, president business development, Rashmi Group said: “We are pleased
to announce the expansion plans of the group and are confident that we will
work towards the betterment of the organization and the people we serve. 

Rashmi group currently runs a
cement grinding plant of 3.6 lakh tonnes per annum capacity, 3 lakh tonne
direct reduced iron (DRI) unit and 18 MW power plant at Jhargram and 0.5
million tonne mini-steel plant along with ductile iron (DI) pipe facility at
Kharagpur in West Bengal.
