The LME Steel Billet prices will be available for
all subscribers to LME market data from 1 January 2012 in response to industry
requests for reliable and transparent daily steel pricing.
A single subscription will now cover all non-ferrous
contracts, LME Steel Billet, minors, LME minis and LMEX.
As trading in the Steel contract has grown up by
more than 30% year on year, so has demand for better price information. The LME
Steel Billet price is daily, for both cash and futures.
14 million tonnes of billet have traded so far this year
with a notional value of $7.7 billion.
