Ukraine, the world’s 3rd-largest Pig iron exporter saw a two fold jump during July 2017. United States procured more than 65% quantity from Ukraine during this period.
As per recent released data by the department state statistics service of Ukraine, the nation has exported about 270,000 MT Pig Iron in July 2017. United states remain the largest buyer which imports about 180,000 MT (65%) of Ukrainian Pig Iron.
The exports have registered a sharp rise of 140% M-o-M in July’17 against 110,000 MT in Jun’17. Prior to this, on M-o-M in Jun’17 it decrease about 42% in Jun’17 against 190,000 MT in May’17.
Coming to total exports of CY17 (Jan-Jul), the nation has exported about 1.11 MnT Pig Iron.
Country wise:
In CY17 (Jan-Jul) – United States, Italy & Turkey was the major Pig Iron importer of Ukraine which imported about 690,000 MT (61.79%), 190,000 MT (17.47%) & 120,000 MT (10.67%), respectively.
United States marked as largest buyer in CY17 –
United states remained in the top list of Pig Iron imports. In the duration of CY17 (Jan-Jul’17), United states has imported around 3.08 MnT Pig Iron, out of which 21.42% contribution are from Ukraine and also large quantity being imported from Russia.
Presently, the export offers of basic grade Pig Iron are assessed at USD 370-380/MT FoB Russia, USD 360-380/MT FoB Brazil & at USD 370-390/MT FoB India.
