It
is reported that the scrap prices have remained strong in global market due to
tight supply in winter. Thus, Taiwan's import prices of the US scrap have
continued to rise last week.
Industry sources indicated that the US scrap supplier may postpone the scrap
quotes this week due to Christmas and New Year vacation.
It
is known that the US scrap suppliers offered container HMS 1&2 (80:20) and
shredded scrap to Taiwan quoted at US$ 455-460/MT C&F and US$ 460-465/MT C&F
respectively last week. However, it's said that there was no deals being made
last week.
