>>The authorities of the Guangzhou port, the largest coal handling port in South China, has announced that the port will not be able to accept any new cargos, as the storage capacity is already full with the backlog of cargoes due to bad weather.
The port is equipped with 14 coal berths and has the capacity to hold 60 MnT of coal.
>> Coal supplies from the Mahanadi Coalfields Limited were impacted due to the inadequacy of rakes. Around 2 MnT of coal which were supposed to be supplied to the end-industries—steel, aluminum, cement—during the Jan-Aug’17 period; that were impacted by the inadequacy of rakes.
