Mechel Achieves Lower Coal Production in Q2 2017
Russia headquartered miner—Mechel—recorded a 4% increase in coal production in Q2 2017 against that in the first quarter of the current year. In contrast, the production during H2 2017 was at 10,331 ‘000MT, which was lower by 10% over the production of 11,528 ‘000MT in H1 2016.

Yancoal Records Higher Coal Production Q2 2017
Australia based Yancoal has registered a 17% increase in coal production in Q2 2017 over the production in Q2 2016.
In the second quarter of 2017, the company produced 4,529 ‘000MT of coal against the production of 3,879 ‘000MT in the same quarter of the previous year.
During H1 2017, the production was also up by 23% at 8,707 ‘000MT over the production of 7,056 ‘000MT in H1 2016.
