As per recent data released by the department state statistics service of Ukraine, it is observed that the nation has exported about 110,000 MT Pig Iron in June 2017.
The exports have registered a downfall of 42% M-o-M in Jun’17 against 190,000 MT in May’17. During Jun’17, United States has imported approximately more than 70% (80,000 MT) of Ukrainian Pig Iron
Coming to total exports in H1 CY17 (Jan-Jun), the nation has exported about 840,000 MT Pig Iron.
Country wise:
In CY17 (Jan-Jun) – United States, Italy & Turkey was the major Pig Iron importer of Ukraine which imported about 510,000 MT (60.54%), 130,000 MT (15.20%) & 100,000 MT (12.20%), respectively.
United States continues to remain the largest Pig iron buyer of Ukraine –
United states remained in the top list of Pig Iron importer of Ukraine. In the duration of H1 CY17 (Jan-Jun’17), United states has imported around 2.37 MnT Pig Iron, out of which 20.06% contribution are from Ukraine.
Presently, the export offers of steel grade Pig Iron are currently assessed at USD 365/MT FoB Russia, USD 350-355/MT FoB Brazil & at USD 355/MT FoB India.
In the month of June 2017, the crude steel production of the Ukraine was around 1.59 MnT and in H1 CY17 it was approximately 10.96 MnT as per WSA.
