Indian domestic pellet offers have been up by INR 200/MT in Central and South India however it were unchanged over the period of a week in the East. The prices have been near stable due to a slight downward movement in global iron ore prices.
In East India Durgapur based pellet maker is heard to have sold 5000 MT pellets (Fe 63%) at INR 5,000/MT at the same prices a week ago. The current offers are unchanged.
Central India’s Raipur based pellet maker is heard to have struck couple of pellets (Fe 63%) deals at INR 5,600/MT with an INR 150-200/MT increase in prices compared to that of a week ago along with a few number of inquires. However one of the sellers has informed the offer prices of INR 5800-5900/MT with no deals concluded.
South India pellet market has also observed no significant deals with little inquiries. One of the sellers have concluded a deal last at INR 6450/MT. The prices have been up by INR 150-200/MT. The other manufacturer mentioned that the festive season have affected the momentum in the market for the time being and amid low enquiries the last quotes are at INR 6600 for Fe 63% & INR 6900 for Fe 65% an upgrade of around INR 200/MT compared to last week.
