Indian steel prices have noticed high fluctuations in last few weeks on factors like unavailability of iron ore, new pricing policy by Coal India, depreciating rupee (which has made imports of scrap and coal expensive.)
” Though Indian steel prices are rising high, but it is not supported by real demand. More over it is supported by high raw material cost and unfavorable govt policies.
No body wants higher price, but they want consistent and regular trade.At present steel prices are hovering at all time high but demand is absolutely deserted for re-bar and structural items.” said a Re-bar stockist based at Mandi Govindgarh (Punjab)
