Indian Pig iron prices hold firm on high input cost 

Indian pig iron prices remain strong on high iron ore and coal cost. Market sources expect that prices likely to hold firm in near term.

An Indian producer of steel grade pig iron in Raipur notes that the rate for the material is at INR 27,200-300/mt ex-works this week, up by Rs 200-300 compared to last week and  expects the new purchasing price will jump to this level within one or two weeks.
