Turkish imported scrap market remained quiet this week as prices
continued to fall on the back of falling finished and semi-finished
steel prices.
Offers from the US East Coast now seem to be at $465/MT CFR for HMS 1&2 80:20, which is down by $1-5/MT from the quotes seen at the end of last week. But Turkish mills are willing to pay only $460/MT CFR.
Offers for HMS (80:20) in the Indian market remains unchanged at US$ 450-455/MT CFR Kandla & at US$ 455-460/MT CFR Mumbai. Offers for shredded scrap also remains same as US$ 465-470/MT CFR Mumbai.
