Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), also known as Vizag Steel, has invited a tender for export of 16,512 MT billet followed by 16,512 MT wire rod coil to Nepal. The minimum offered quantity is 2,752 MT for both the products. As per the delivery schedule, last date of delivery period shall be 30 Sept’17. The due date for bid submission is 09 Aug’17 till 11:00 AM (IST).
The offer given by the bidder will remain valid till 16 Aug’17.

Last month the steel maker had floated export tender for 11,008 MT billets to Nepal. As per market sources report, the bids received were in the range of USD 405-410/MT ex-mill. It was heard that the company may cancel the tender as the company received comparatively high bids in its ocean tender.
Billet export offers in global market continues to rise – Owing to shortage in global market, billet export offers continue to remain on higher side. Chinese billet continue to remain out of the market. According to SteelMint’s assessment Indian billet export offers for 150*150 mm are at USD 455/MT, FoB and for 95*95 mm billets it is at USD 450/MT, FoB.
