Iran: KSC Issues 30,000 MT Billet Export Tender

Khouzestan Steel Company (KSC) – one of the major steel producers in Iran and subsidiary of Iranian Mines & Mining industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) has today invited tender for export of 30,000 MT billet for October shipment. Bid submission due date for the same is 04 Aug’17 at 18:00 hrs as per Iranian local time.

Details of the tender issued –

KSC last billet & slab export tender fetched good response – In beginning of Jul’17, the company invited tender for export of 40,000 slab and 30,000 MT billets for September shipment.

As per market sources report to SteelMint, the billet tender received bids from 17 companies and was concluded at around USD 415-420/MT, FoB.

KSC remained the largest steel exporter in Q1 Iranian FY18 – According to IMIDRO report, Iranian steel makers have exported 1.58 MnT semi-finished and finished steel during 1st quarter of Iranian FY18 spanning from 21 Mar-21 Jun, up 2% Y-o-Y. Khouzestan Steel Company (KSC) was the largest exporter and it exported 809,429 MT of slab, bloom and billet, up 66% Y-o-Y.
