The price of coking coal has fallen up to 15-20% for the January-March quarter according to Indian government officials, reversing last year's extreme strength in this key steelmaking commodity.
It is reported that some Indian steel majors have concluded contract prices of $225-$235 per metric ton from Australia and New Zealand for the January-March quarter, down from $280-$285/ton in the previous quarter.
