Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has floated a tender for export of prime mild steel non-alloy hot rolled plates of 5,000-14,000 MT quantity for Sept’17 shipment.
The material will be of specifications – S235/S275JR+AR & S355JR/S355J2+N. Bid due date for the same is on 28 Jul’17 at 17:00 hrs. The bids shall remain valid till 18:00 hrs of 31 Jul’17. The material shipping is scheduled by 30 Sept’17 .
Prices should be quoted on FoB, Vishakhapatnam basis. However, prices are to be quoted per MT basis.
Plates Market Overview: Week 31, 2017
Major Indian steel makers continue to hold plate export offers. Last offers for plate export from India were heard at USD 555/MT, CFR Europe which is equivalent to USD 515/MT, FoB India. Indian steel mills are likely to raise offers further in the coming days owing to rise in export offers in global market.
Chinese plate export offers are assessed in the range of USD 480-485/MT, up by USD 5-10/MT W-o-W. Chinese plate export offers have increased for sixth consecutive week on the back of higher prices in domestic market.
