Tokyo Steel Manufacturing which is topmost electric arc furnace steelmaker has raised the flat export offers for Aug’17 deliveries as the overseas market is driven by strong domestic demand in China.
The production schedule of Tokyo Steel in Jul’17 was for 1,70,000 MT.Out of which H-shaped steel 80,000 MT and hot coils of 60,000 MT. Besides this quantity for export comprised of 5,000 MT and planks of 10,000 MT.
Kiyoshi Imamura, Managing Director of Tokyo Steel Manufacturing mentioned in the comment that “Basically, the overseas market situation is strong,overseas has reversed from bottoming to strong, especially with thin sheets and shaped steel and we do have strong inquiries, but we will respond to this inquiry according to present production status”
Meanwhile, prices of raw material also shown upward trend on account of rising cost of secondary material used in electrodes.

Tokyo-Domestic Prices Remain Unchanged–In domestic market,demand for thin plates is rising but the overall market stock level in each type remained on the lower side.Moreover it is anticipated that summer reduction period may also lead to mismatch between demand and supply factors in the domestic market.
