Manganese ore prices remains steady in mines based in Balaghat, Maharashtra and Orissa.
90% of manganese ore is consumed in steel production only, so naturally there will be pressure on the prices of the manganese if there is a slowdown in production of steel. Prices constant but the freight charges increases due to restriction in over loading.
However, steel prices are decline and most likely manganese ore prices will follow the same pattern.
