Indian Pig Iron prices might go up by Rs 200-300/MT on low production and improved demand, said traders.
“There is not much of stock available in plants.” said a manufacturer from Odisha. Pig Iron (Steel Grade) is currently trading at Rs 25,800/MT in Jharsugda and foundry Grade at Rs 27,500/MT , he further added.
Market is very unpredictable at this point of time, there are changes in market conditions every now and then, said a manufacturer from Hyderabad.
According to a broker from Durgapur, prices seem to be increasing now but will correct marginally as the financial year nears its closing and Steel prices are also falling.
