Bhushan Steel: Iron Ore & Pellet Sourcing Up 36% in May’17

Bhushan Steel – a major integrated steel maker has increased its monthly iron ore & pellet sourcing by 36% in May’17.

The company’s iron ore and pellet sourcing was up by 36% M-o-M from 0.43 MnT in Apr’17 to 0.58 MnT in May’17. The steel maker sourced the total of 16 pellet rakes in May’17.

The steel maker increased its iron ore procurement from Indrani Patnaik Mines from 0.05 MnT in Apr’17 to 0.20 MnT in May’17. On similar lines, its procurement from Rungta Mines was up from 0.06 MnT in Apr’17 to 0.10 MnT in May’17. The procurement from OMC was also increased from 0.05 MnT in Aprr’17 to 0.06 MnT in May’17.

However the manufacturer’s sourcing from KJS Ahluwalia was reduced from 0.04 MnT to 0.01 MnT. On similar lines, its procurement from Mid East Integrated Steel was down from 0.02 MnT in Apr’17 to 0.01 MnT in Apr’17. The procurement from S N Mohanty was also down from 0.02 MnT in Apr’17 to 0.01 MnT in May’17.

Bhushan steel’s pellet procurement also witnessed and increase in May’17 and it procured 16 rakes last month compared to 09 rakes in Apr’17.
