According to sources, NMDC has cut Jan-Mar iron
ore fines price by 20% and lumps by 3-5%. The price cut is in-line with fall in
global prices, reports sponge manufacturers in Raipur
Currently NMDC is offering Iron ore fines at Rs 2,590/MT which was previously offered at Rs
3,200/MT. The price cut in iron ore fines is above the expectation of 5-10% by
industry experts.
However, the price cut in lumps is in line with Industry
expectations and Iron ore lumps will be cheaper by say Rs 180-280/MT, which may
give a slight relief to the market.
Iron ore lumps for 6-40 mm of grade 64 Fe was offered at Rs
5635/MT (Ex Kirandul, Chattisgarh) before the price revision.
