MMTC on behalf of NINL had floated a pig iron export tender for 30,000 MT which expired yesterday (i.e. 15 Jun’17). The tender floated was for shipment period between 26 Jun’17-6 Jul’17.
According to market sources report to SteelMint, the tender attracted lower bids in the range of USD 290-295/MT, FOBST basis. Trade sources expect that the company may reissue the tender as they were expecting higher bids.
Prior to this the company had floated an export tender for same quantity on 22 May’17 which expired on 2 Jun’17. As per sources the tender fetched good response and was concluded at a price of USD 308-310/MT, FOBST basis.
