CIS billet prices edge up on higher scrap prices in International market

Ferrous scrap prices in International market edge up after Turkish steel mills placed fresh orders. Scrap seller raise their offers by $5-10/mt on improved demand said market participants.


Higher scrap prices has led Billet manufacturers to raise offers by $15-20/t.CIS Billet was sold on Monday February 20 at $575-590 per tonne fob Black Sea for March,up from $560-570 fob.  Some mills have been offering $600 per tonne fob due to higher ferrous scrap costs.
