Turkish steel mills continue to restock scrap cargoes ahead of Ramadan holidays. Few trade deals were reported in last couple of days.
1. In a recent deal concluded, Wetzel – Europe based scrap processing company has sold 20,000 MT HMS (75:25); 5,000 MT HMS -1 and 7,000 MT Bonus to Turkey based steel maker – Bastug at an average rate of USD 269.5/MT.
2. US based scrap recycling company – Schnitzer sold 40,000 MT HMS (80:20) to Turkey based steel making company – Bastug at an average rate of USD 274.
3. Denmark based scrap supplier – Rimeco concluded a deal of 5,000 MT HMS (80:20) at an average rate of USD 271/MT and 5,000 MT Shredded scrap at USD 276/MT to Yazici.
4. US based scrap recycler – Reansselaer concluded a deal for 25,000 MT scrap with Turkey based steel maker – Kroman. It sold 13,000 MT HMS (80:20) at USD 277/MT; 10,000 MT Shredded at an average rate of USD 282/MT and 2,000 MT at an average rate of USD 287/MT.
5. Hansen sold scrap to Turkey based steel maker – Koc Celik. HMS (80:20) at an average rate of USD 272/MT; Shredded at an average rate of USD 277/MT and Bonus at USD 282/MT.
6. Europe based scrap trader – Euroscrap sold 40,000 MT scrap to Turkey based ICDAS. 25,000 MT HMS (75:25) at an average rate of USD 267/MT, 5,000 MT Shredded at USD 272/MT and 10,000 MT Bonus at USD 282/MT.
