Russia, world’s largest exporter of Pig iron, has registered a downfall in exports by 78%, M-o-M in Apr’17, according to Russian customs.
The country has exported 0.14 MnT pig iron in Apr’17 against 0.66 MnT in Mar’17. On similar lines, exports fell by 64% Y-o-Y against 0.39 MnT in Apr’16.
Coming to total exports; in the first 4 months of 2017 (Jan-Apr), the nation exported 1.32 MnT Pig iron; slip by 16% as compared to 1.58 MnT in the same preceding last year.

During Apr’17, the largest importer of Russian Pig iron was USA (0.06 MnT) followed by Turkey & Taiwan with 0.02 MnT each.
