According to the custom data, India witnessed an increase of 35% in its Ferro Manganese exports in Mar’17 at 0.02 MnT against Feb’17. In Feb’17, the same was 0.01 MnT.
However, India has recorded 19% increase in its Ferro Manganese exports in FY17 on Y-o-Y basis. In FY17, India registered total Ferro Manganese export of 0.13 MnT against 0.16 MnT in FY16.
Iran was the largest Ferro Manganese importer from India in Mar’17 followed by UAE and Netherlands. Iran with its aim to become one of the largest steel producing economies has increased it Ferro Manganese imports by mammoth 566% M-o-M. On the other hand, UAE also recorded an increase of 15% M-o-M in its imports while Netherlands registered a massive uptick of 206% M-o-M in Ferro Manganese imports from India.
