Indian Pig Iron prices showed an upward movement on rising
steel prices and traders anticipate prices to go up on rising scrap prices in
International market.
Steel Grade Pig Iron in Raipur is currently trading at Rs.
27,500/MT with an increase of Rs. 300/MT and Foundry Grade at Rs. 29,500/MT
resulting in rise of Rs. 500/MT from previous trade. Vizag Steel Grade Pig Iron
is trading at Rs. 24,600/MT with a high of Rs. 100/MT.
Pig Iron (Steel Grade) for Durgapur is trading at Rs.
26,500/MT with Rs. 400/MT high from previous close. There is no availability of Foundry Grade Pig
Iron in Durgapur as plants have run out of stock. Supply of Pig Iron is
affected on low production of raw materials like iron ore and coal.
