Billet prices opened
higher in line with high steel futures on NCDEX, which is trading at 34,700
(March contract) high by 180 points. Prices have inched up at almost all the
places.
“Demand for Billet is
at an increasing rate. Prices are expected to increase further on account of
growing demand of finished steel,” said a broker from Raipur.
Raipur Billet prices
are trading at Rs. 34,100/MT with a high of Rs. 400/MT and Billet prices for Raigarh
is trading with an increase of Rs. 500/MT at Rs. 33,500/MT.
Billet trading prices
have also gone up at Durgapur by Rs. 300/MT i.e. market is trading at Rs. 38300
(Incld all excise and taxes) and Mumbai Billet prices are hovering around Rs.
35100++ with an increase of Rs. 100/MT. .
