Coordination-cum Empowered Committee (CCEC) will be conducting meeting of 21 major mineral producing states to be held under the chairmanship of Secretary (Mines) on 02 Jun’17. The meeting is scheduled to take place at 10:00 am in New Delhi.
Agenda for discussion in meeting are as follows:
1. Preparedness for e-auction of major mineral blocks- The block-wise status and the preparedness for mineral auction by the state govt. in FY17, FY18 and beyond will be discussed.
2. Status of project implementation under Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY)
3. Mining Surveillance System (MSS) – The MSS has been developed for monitoring major mineral leases to check any illegal mining cases with the use of space technology.
4. Star Rating of Minerals – ‘Star Rating’ of minerals corresponds to the efforts and initiatives taken for implementation of the Sustainable Development Framework (SDF).
