Anthracite Coal offers have stagnated at the rates in the last two weeks. The demand pattern in India remained sluggish.
The latest Anthracite Coal offer to India is assessed at USD 130/MT CFR India, unchanged from the week-ago rate.

There has been no affinity among the buyers in India for the coal as they preferred alternate fuels.
In a communication with a trader, an offer for Anthracite Coal (6-25mm) from Vietnam to India was learnt to be at USD 235/MT CFR India.
IMPORTS
Anthracite coal imports in India have been very less, apparently due to the lackluster demand. During the 1-17May’17 period, only one import consignment of Anthracite Coal of 84,000MT had arrived to India, data compiled by CoalMint Research shows. The import consignment, originated at Vietnam and booked by Indian Metal and Ferro Alloys, landed at the Paradip port.
