Hindustan Zinc Tender for Sales of Imported Met Coke

Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL), a subsidiary of Vedanta Resources is involved in integrated mining and resources producer of zinc, lead, silver and cadmium.

Moreover, HZL is the world’s second largest zinc producer.

The company owns 474 MW of coal based thermal captive power plants in Rajasthan to support metallurgical operations.

HZL has floated a tender for the sales of 17,000 MT imported Met Coke directly from Kandla port in Gujarat. The offer submitted by the bidder will be valid until 30 May’17.

Material Specification:
The material available at the port has a total moisture content of 10.18%. Other specifications of the material are tabulated below.

Tender Specifications:
1.The buyer can quote bid material in the multiplication of 2000 MT.

2.Interested buyers have to deposit Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of INR 1, 00,000 in the form of Demand Draft. The EMD amount will not attract any interest and the EMD amount will be returned to unsuccessful expressions after finalisation of Work Order.

3.The buyer will have to avail the transportation cost while the loading charges will be on HZL’s account.

Tender schedule:
Due date for submitting the bids is 17 May’17 and the opening of the bids is scheduled on 19 May’17.
