According to vessel lineup data maintained by SteelMint , Indian Pig Iron export remain static in Apr’17(108,000 MT) there is slight correction of 600 MT (-0.5%) against 108,600 MT in Mar’17.
In Apr’17 MMTC remains the highest supplier of pig Iron from India followed by Vedanta. In CY 2017(till April) India exported 0.3 MnT Pig Iron, major export share belongs to MMTC (42%), Vedanta (34%), RINL (15%).

There is no fresh export deal for pig iron in line with steep correction in global coking coal prices & volatility in Chinese billet prices which put buyers on wait and watch mode to take position.
India Pig Iron Export in CY2017
India pig iron export up by 73% (Y-o-Y) in first four month of 2017 , supported by limited supply of pig iron from CIS country.
In CY2017 pig iron exports are recorded at 301,550 MT till April 2017, against total exports of 174,240 MT in 2016.
