“Re-bar prices in Chennai
have gained by Rs. 1000/t in a couple of days making buyers hesitant to buy at
current levels. Chennai re-bar prices is trading at a high of Rs. 500/t at Rs.
47,800/t (Basic prices). JSW will hike its steel prices in the first week of
this month by Rs. 500-1000/t,” remarks a Chennai based trader.
Manufacturers at
Raipur kept their offers unchanged at Rs. 39,500/t (Ex-Works) for 12mm Re-bar and
expect prices might gain another Rs. 500/t.
“Demand for rebar is slow in Hyderabad and prices will be stable.
The situation will continue for few days to come as labourers will be out of work
for the coming festive holiday.There will not be much of buying due to the same
reason. Hyderabad 12mm Re-bar prices is trading at Rs. 41,200/t (Ex-works),” said a
trader from Hyderabad.
“Re-bar prices in Mumbai remain unchanged. The demand in for
finished has come down in Mumbai and will continue for the first week of this
month as there are limited buyers . Mumbai TMT prices are trading at Rs.
39,400/t (Ex-works),” said Mr. Narendra Sharma from Vaishnav TMT.
