Billets prices have corrected
by around Rs. 2,000/MT after the Union Budget that was announced two weeks back
this month.
“Manufacturers at
Raipur are offering Billet at Rs. 32,800/MT (Basic prices), low by Rs. 500/MT but
are unable to get any bookings which would otherwise start if
prices come down to Rs. 33,500/MT. Weak sales in finished Steel kept buyers
away to make fresh orders. Therefore, Billet prices are likely to correct further,” said market sources.
Raigarh Billet prices
are hovering around Rs. 32,300/MT (Basic price). Billet is being offered at Rs.
37,800/MT (Including all) in Durgapur and Mumbai whereas Jalna trades at
Rs.33,900/MT (Basic prices).
