“Raipur Steel Grade Pig Iron prices remain stable on decent
demand. Markets are expected to fluctuate according to the movements in NCDEX. Steel Grade Pig Iron prices are trading at Rs.
28,000/MT (Basic prices) in Raipur,” said a city based trader.
“Steel Grade Pig Iron prices in Durgapur have increased by
Rs. 200/MT. Plants in Durgapur are expected to quote Rs. 27,200/MT for the same
grade. Durgapur Steel Grade prices have gone up because there is a shortage for
material and market is in a crisis.
We anticipate markets to come back to
reduced prices in about 5-10 days.
Foundry Grade Pig Iron is not available in Durgapur due to low production.
Steel Grade Pig Iron is offered at Rs. 27,000/MT (Basic price),” a Durgapur
based broker reported SteelMint.
