Domestic rebar prices are increasing sharply owing to strong demand as well limited inventories with the manufacturers and stockiest.
On weekly premises, the prices have massively gone up by INR 300-1,700/MT, maximum hike registered in the West & North regions (INR 1,000-1,700/MT) followed by South & East (INR 600-900/MT) and Central India (INR 300/MT).
During the week, trade volume was quite healthy, according to the manufacturers in Central & East India.
Price Gap between Large and Small/Medium scale producers Shrink:
With the increase in the medium/small scale producer’s prices, the price gap between the Large scale and the medium/small scale players have shrink.
Currently, the price gap between them around INR 2,000/MT Ex-Mumbai which was previously maintained at INR 3,500-4,000/MT.
