NMDC to raise Iron Ore prices by Rs 400-500/MT

NMDC, India's largest producer for iron ore is likely to raise Iron Ore prices by Rs 400-500/MT on various grades and sizes.

Sources said SteelMint that iron ore prices have been increased w.e.f 1st of April , but it has not been announced officially. It is also reported that grade wise bonus has also been increased by Rs 20-30/MT.

” Prices have been increased by 400-500/MT on 6-40mm and 10-150mm of iron ore. Though industry is opposing this hike and our representatives have gone to NMDC head office at Hyderabad.” said a sponge manufacturer based in Raipur.

If it is implemented, sponge prices will go up by Rs 700-800/MT, he further added.

Currently sponge manufacturers at Raipur have held their sales till the official announcement.

NMDC IRON ORE PRICES

6-40mm – Rs 4,960/MT (Old)- 5,540 (Revised)

10-150 mm– Rs 4,150/MT (Old)- 4,640 (Revised)

Fines- Rs 2,980/MT

All Basic Prices Ex-Mines

Royalty , Taxes and Bonus/Penatly extra.
