With the April month; comes the new price assessment and this month Indian steelmakers have raised the flat product prices by INR 1,500-2,000/MT. In anticipation of better demand, lesser domestic availability over increased exports sales volume and upsurge in domestic steel prices indicating the optimistic market sentiments of flat products in India.
Primary Indian steel manufacturers have increased the flat products prices owing to anticipated improvement of demand in the domestic market. Moreover huge exports volumes which are lined up in the month of March has also created demand supply mismatch in the domestic market leading to hike in flat product prices.
Currently prices of HRC (IS2062) 2.5mm-8mm are assessed in the range of INR 42,000/MT (ex-Mumbai), INR 41,500/MT (ex-Delhi) and INR 42,500/MT (ex-Chennai). Prices are inclusive of Excise duty of 12.5%.
Currently CRC (IS513) 0.9mm is hovering in the range of INR 48,000/MT (ex-Mumbai),INR 48,250/MT (ex-Delhi) and INR 48,500 /MT(ex-Chennai).Prices are inclusive of Excise duty of 12.5%.
