Sponge Iron prices noticed further correction of Rs 100-300/MT in the last few trading sessions.
“There are no trades at Rs 24,000/MT (Ex-Raipur). Despite recent hike in Iron ore prices by NMDC, Sponge Iron prices are under pressure. It is reported that NMDC Iron ore is costing around Rs 8,500/MT (Ex-Raipur),” said a Sponge Iron broker based in Raipur.
Prices at Raigarh fell by Rs 300-400/MT to Rs 23,100/MT where as Rourkela is being quoted in the range of Rs 22,800/MT.
