Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is the India’s largest steelmaker and produces a variety of steel and iron products, has issued a tender for tentative purchase of 4,200 MT HC ferro manganese for its Bhilai Steel Plant, Chhattisgarh.
The material is required for the period of two months i.e. Apr’17 to May’17.

Chemical Specifications
The material should contain Manganese 70.0% min, Carbon 7.5% max, Silicon 1.5% max, Phosphorous 0.43% max and Sulphur 0.05% max.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Bidder should be an indigenous manufacturer of ferro manganese/silico manganese.
2. Bidder must have supplied ferro manganese/silico manganese to any of Govt. organizations, PSUs, or Public Limited Companies in any one of the last five preceding years.
3. Bidders are requested to offer minimum 2,940 MT material in two months.
Tender Schedule (IST)
Due date for bid submission is 23 Mar’17 till 13:00 hrs and techno-commercial opening date is 24 Mar’17 at 11:00 hrs.
