Re-bar trading volumes have slowed in places such as Jalna, Pune,
Chennai and Goa.
“Raipur Re-bar is being offered at Rs 38,600/MT (Basic
price), down by Rs 200/MT on account of weak demand,” said a city based trader.
“TMT buying is decent in Mumbai as bookings of around
200-250 tonnes are available to traders. There is shortage of material and demand
in construction sector is also good. Mumbai Re-bar prices have jumped by Rs
200/MT and is being quoted at Rs 40,700/MT (Basic price),” reported a trader
from Mumbai.
“Re-bar prices at
Hyderabad corrected over Rs 500/MT and is being traded at Rs 38,900/MT (Basic
price) on sluggish demand. We expect prices to stabilize at these levels,” remarked market participants.
which buying for finished products increased in Indore but then slowed down in line with
NCDEX showing a downtrend. Demand in Re-bar has not picked up since then with
unchanged trading prices at Rs 41,500/MT (Basic price),” said an Indore based manufacturer.
