Miner’s iron ore production from Chhattisgarh mines has witnessed sharp increase of 33% Y-o-Y from Apr-Feb’17.
India’s single largest iron ore producer – National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has achieved production of 30.33 MnT in FY17 (till Feb’17). Miner’s output has increased by 21% Y-o-Y as in the same period last fiscal, the figure stood at 25.04 MnT.
Out of 30.33 MnT iron ore produced so far in FY17, 19.41 MnT has been produced from its Chhattisgarh mines, up 33% Y-o-Y. Remaining 10.92 MnT iron ore production has been recorded from NMDC’s Karnataka mines against 10.49 MnT in the same period last fiscal.
In Feb’17, NMDC’s iron ore production stood at 3.23 MnT, down 11% M-o-M.
NMDC iron ore sales increase by 25% Y-o-Y from Apr-Feb’17 – NMDC’s iron ore sales stood at 32.33 MnT in FY17 (till Feb’17). Out of which iron ore sales from Chhattisgarh and Karnataka mines were at 20.81 MnT and 11.52 MnT respectively. Iron ore sales from both regions have moved up by 27% and 3% on yearly premises.
