India’s leading steel producer, Vizag Steel, has concluded an export tender for 15,000 MT billet (150X150 mm) on 06 Mar’17 for March shipment.
According to sources, the tender attracted 3 participants. The highest bid received was at USD 405/MT and the company may have concluded the tender at the same price.
It is to be noted that the tender attracted bids higher than previous tender by USD 15/MT due to higher Chinese billet prices and unavailability of the material from CIS nations as material is already booked till March.
The company’s last export tender for 20,000 MT billets (150X150 mm) which expired on 16 Feb’17 was concluded at USD 390/MT, FoB India and the cargo is likely to be shipped to South East Asian countries.
